Dream wedding stationery to wow from EYI Love Studio

At Most Curious we’re all about celebrating true visionaries, and EYI Love are certainly that. They’ve taken a traditional, hand-crafted artform and married it (geddit) with contemporary design and a super stylish creative eye to create wedding stationery to die for. They’re the king and queen of foil wedding stationery, and it’s not hyperbole to say every single piece they produce has us in lurve. Take it away, EYI chaps…

Well hello there, wonderful and most curious humans! What a pleasure it is to get to chat to you and tell you all about us (always a daunting task I think, but we’ll give it a go!)

We are Lorna and Jack, E.Y.i. Love, a modern luxe design and print studio, specialising in beautifully stylish stationery for weddings and events. We founded our company in 2010, after failing to find a supplier we loved for our own wedding stationery (oh yeah, we’re married!) using my grandfather’s old letterpress to craft our invitations. Gathering together our respective skills, we were a textile designer and an engineer in a former life, we formed an all-encompassing passion for modern design and a super clean aesthetic. Its this combination of carefully-honed skills, the accumulation of years of design and production knowledge and a true passion for love stories in all their forms that makes our stationery a little bit special.

Fast forward 10 whole years and E.Y.i.LOVE has developed into an innovative, bespoke wedding stationers, specialising in our favourite of all materials, foil. We now service a worldwide clientele from our studio on the south side of Glasgow. It’s our favourite city in the world, full of creativity, edge and wonderful sights and people at every turn. All our products are designed, hand printed and beautifully finished - we spend a lot of long nights in the studio to get the exceptional level of finish we strive for, each and every time! We are so thankful to be surrounded by an epic team, our mummas, studio assistants and some seriously great and talented friends who provide us with essential, and beautiful elements, such as stunning calligraphy and exceptional perspex pieces.

Our modern foil creations remain at the cutting edge of design; we have some incredible industry friends, amazing collaborations and a good eye to thank for that. We adore the wedding industry, especially the British scene, where suppliers are always at the forefront, creating true magic together and supporting each other every step of the way. Most of all, we love our clients; they are so creative, inventive and trusting of our knowledge and style. They push us everyday to try new things, develop new techniques and push boundaries; it is through discussions with our clients that some of our favourite things, such as foiled perspex and layered vellum, have been perfected.

Our creations are so often inspired by conversations we’ve had with couples, new venues we’ve discovered or friendships within the industry that we’ve formed. Suppliers like Bloaum Studio, The Modern Revelry, The Stars Inside and gorgeous personal pal Caro Weiss inspire us everyday, with wonderful content and their love for their craft (we could have named a hundred other creatives who give us all the feels - maybe that is for another blog…)

The past ten years have been utterly incredible; we have grown as a business, as a couple and as a family, with the addition of 3 little bubbas and a miniature poodle called Rudi, who manages our studio and is chief of operations, of course. Our focus has sharpened, evolving into additional services such as business branding (which we love doing!) and adapting to suit new values and methods. We’re working hard to lower our environmental impact; recycling fever has hit the studio HARD, and we make a point of always giving back, whether that be through charitable projects or mentoring with other creatives.

We’re oh so very excited to meet everyone at Most Curious. It will be our first year attending, as the beast from the East thwarted our previously laid plans! We’re crossing all digits for no snow, torrential hail or gale force winds, and smooth sailing (or driving, as the case will be!) from Glasgow to London with love; we can’t wait to see you all in February!

To see the EYI Love team’s gorgeous wares in real life - see ‘em shiiiiiine, baby! - make sure you grab your tickets for our London 2020 show! Buy them here and we’ll see you at The Old Truman Brewery next February. We can’t wait!
