PETAL & METAL
Petal and Metal Bridal
Otherworldly bridal accessories exist outside of trends, outside of quick fix consumerism but rather something of a labour of love, bespoke process and slow fashion. Her cage-like hair chains are normally adorned with ethereal motifs like petals, feathers, buds and butterflies.
Amy studied fine art sculpture at Wimbledon College of Art and this background informs her work with her describing it with “particular emphasis on fragility, and imperfections, and the way the natural world feels to me”.
Each piece is unique and Amy works through a selection of antique, vintage and reclaimed materials with biodegradable natural new elements - showcasing that something old, something new element, as well as this Amy is creates ready to wear smaller items, including body jewellery.
She describes, ‘her focus is on transformation and embracing my detail oriented, deep feeling and deep sensing mind, through neurodiversity awareness, merging this with intersections between antique and vintage fashion and organic forms, to create innovative ethereal wearable art.”
