Today's premium exhibitor describes herself as 'like a walking curiosity box' which sounds like just about the most relatable thing we've ever read in our life. And relatability is absolutely crucial with your wedding suppliers - ESPECIALLY your photographer. How are they going to seek out those moments that you'll especially want to remember, if they don't know what you're looking for? Lisa Jane Photography doesn't just seek out these moments, she teases them out and reveals them in glorious technicolour. Photography isn't just about a pretty picture - it's about grabbing life by the horns, seeking adventure, and telling the most important romantic story of all time.

Crucial to Lisa's method of working is finding out what you as a couple love - and so, we thought we'd find out what she loves. Read our interview with the lovely lady below:

A little 'about you' for your business.

I’m a London girl born and raised with passion for music and film photography. A hopeless romantic who cries at every wedding. I am fuelled by coffee and always with a camera in hand.

Why did you decide to set up your own business?

For me, photography has never just been about a pretty picture; it’s the memories it can conjure, the stories asking to be told. It’s been a way for me to show people how I see the world and the stories I want to tell, and all those forgotten moments that come flooding back at just the glance of a photo. I never intended to be a wedding photographer and just kind of fell into it. I used to think it was very stuffy and traditional but instead discovered this world of awesome couples and their weddings which allowed me to do what I do best, tell a couples story, walk in their shoes and capture the all the special little moments.

What's been the coolest/best moment of your career so far?

I've been lucky enough to travel the world with my photography which has been pretty amazing and was named one the 30 Rising Stars which was a massive achievement for me. But if I'm honest, I love that fact that couples connect with my work, I get to create memories for them which will last a lifetime. That's what it is all about for me.

Who or what inspires you?

I get a lot of inspiration from films, (Royal Tannenbaums, Lost in Translation, Blue Valentine) and music (The National, Ryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith) - I love it when my couples tell me all about the songs at their wedding! Certain songs can just capture a moment perfectly and I suppose that is what I am always trying to with my photography.
While some of my inspiration comes from music, film & books, a lot comes from a couples connection and relationship. On a wedding day, I'm always looking for that connection, seeking out the little moments.

Describe the type of couple you are hoping to meet at Most Curious

Hopeless romantics
Couples who are passionate about having their wedding their way
Book nerds
Couples who are planning the best party of their lives
Music lovers
Couples who want to have fun

What do you think the most Curious couples will love about your work?

It’s important to me that couples connect with me and my work. I spend a lot of time with my couples from the moment they enquire though to the wedding day and it’s really important to me that they feel like they have a friend through the whole process. My work is informal and untradtional, full of heart and emotion and I hope that when couples look at my work they see the story behind each image.

What do you love most about your job?

Meeting couples and getting to photograph their story! I feel so lucky to be a part of couples' wedding day, being witness to the love and support they have for each other and that they have surrounded themselves with. I get to document that and add to the couples memories, turning their memories of their wedding day into a much bigger story, filling in those gaps and transporting them back to that day.

Come and regale Lisa with the tales of the songs you'll have at your wedding, and see what magic you can create together! Tickets are available now...
