Imagine a wedding or civil partnership ceremony where every word and moment has been chosen by you, nothing outdated, uncomfortable or irrelevant, included because you feel you should... Instead, a ceremony where you feel surrounded by love, rather than like you have to perform for a crowd, a truly enjoyable ceremony that doesn’t feel like a formality, but instead is a warm, meaningful, wholehearted celebration. I'm offering my full celebrant service, where I'll craft, write and lead a fully personalised wedding or civil partnership ceremony.

Your ceremony will be individually crafted, especially for you. I'll work with you both in the weeks and months leading up to your day, to get to know you, understand what matters most about your ceremony, and to offer support and guidance so that your ceremony feels comfortable, joyful and personal to you. I can offer specific support with vow writing if you'd like, and you'll receive my collection of wedding planning resources, to help with ideas for readings, symbolic moments or rituals (such as handfasting or ringwarming). On your day, I’ll be available at your venue around an hour before your ceremony, to meet other suppliers, calm any nerves, and generally make sure everyone is welcomed and ready. Then, I’ll lead your wedding ceremony, joyfully, warmly and professionally.

About Kathryn:

​I’m Kathryn, a people-loving, equality-loving, cat-loving, ‘love’-loving wedding celebrant. My role as a celebrant is to get to know you both and create a ceremony especially for you! I'll write, curate and craft your memories and love story, along with ideas for readings, music, and symbolism, into a ceremony especially for you!

I know how it feels not to see yourself represented when planning a wedding. So I specialise in intimate, inclusive, accessible, relaxed, feminist ceremonies for couples who don't see themselves reflected in the wedding world.

• Maybe you're celebrating finding love again,

• Perhaps you're Neurodivergent, Disabled, or managing your mental health and need your ceremony to prioritise your comfort,

I’ll make sure that instead of feeling constrained by tradition, expectations, assumptions and/or the patriarchy(!), your wedding ceremony is full of warmth, fun and joy. You deserve to be celebrated, and I’d be honoured to celebrate you!

TERMS:

Travel within London, Essex, Kent, Surrey & Sussex is included. However, if the ceremony is further afield, there will likely be a small travel fee agreed prior to us starting to work together (usually no more than £100 - public transport, cheapest advance ticket). Certain dates are non-negotiable as I'm unavailable.

(I've no availability in Jan/Feb/Mar 2026, or on 29/30th May, 19/20th June, 28th/29th Aug 2026). ​At the moment, Celebrant-led/Humanist wedding ceremonies in England are not legally recognised. This means you do need to pop to a registry office and say the 'legally required words' at some point. You can do this 'legal-bit' in a way that feels right to you, and I can advise.
